We love working with old friends

Hebridean Image 17Most of the recent news and updates have been about life in the showroom and the vast array of new stock we have received over the early months of the year; however, we have also been busy on other fronts. The Interior Design Team continues working on various projects, from domestic houses to commercial projects. Today, we thought we share an update about one of their projects, the Hebridean Princess.

For those of you who keep up to date with our news, you will know that for the design team, this is a reacquaintance with an old friend; we have had a relationship with this fine ship for many years, but it never fails to excite us when we are invited back on board to help maintain its unmatched elegance and splendour.

Each year, at the end of the cruising season, the Hebridean Princess undergoes planned maintenance and servicing. This also includes constant improvements and refinements to the already impressive interiors. Our last project focussed on the cabins; we’ve been working in the public areas this year.

We’ve been replacing furniture, curtains, lighting and accessories. There are now wholesale changes to the interiors; we have made subtle changes, ensuring we maintain the integrity of the ship’s comfort and appeal to its passengers, many of whom return repeatedly.

The ship’s clientele return because they know what to expect from the crew and the ship; it’s a tried and tested formula perfected over 30+ years, so changes to the interiors are always well-considered and only implemented if they improve the passenger experience. We are delighted to have been entrusted with this task for many years.

Below, we have included some images taken after our most recent work; they adequately demonstrate this magnificent ship’s quality and undoubted appeal. We wish her well as she begins this year’s cruising season.

About the Hebridean Princess

Hebridean Princess is one of the smallest luxury cruise ships afloat; she can access places larger ships simply cannot reach. Launched in 1989, Hebridean Princess embarks on all-inclusive cruises from Oban around Scotland and beyond. She is constantly maintained to an exceedingly high standard and accommodates just 48 guests. Hebridean Princess truly is a home-from home-experience.

From the Tiree Lounge and Columba Restaurant to the well-polished teak deck, there’s plenty of space to relax, meet fellow guests or simply watch the world go by. There are 28 spacious, individually designed and elegantly decorated cabins. Choose from single or double cabins, all of which enjoy the same high quality of service from an experienced and professional crew.

There are delightful features all over the ship, including the homely inglenook fireplace in the Tiree Lounge. Her small size ensures you will soon feel at home, and she will win a special place in your heart.
