We are always excited when clients return to us with a new project, especially when they are coming to us for the third time! Even more so when the project is once again in the French Alps.
We have worked extensively with the talented team at shep&kyles design, an interior architecture and project management company that specialises in creating magnificent interiors in some of the most sought-after skiing destinations in Europe. Whether it’s a new-build property or a renovation, every interior created by shep&kyles design is bespoke, spectacular, and designed to the most exacting standards.
John Dick & Son are proud to have been entrusted with interpreting the shep&kyles design’s vision and sourcing a variety of furniture, soft furnishings, curtains, blinds and accessories that make their designs a reality.
The latest project is Chalet Hôtel Blythe, which is situated in the heart of Les Gets and is a short walk from the local amenities and the ski lifts. It is a breathtaking property with eight en-suite bedrooms, a panoramic outdoor terrace, a pool, gym, massage and treatment room, outdoor jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. As you’d expect with a property of this size in Les Gets, it offers the highest possible standard of living accommodation for up to 16 discerning guests.
John Dick & Son supplied and installed all of the curtains and blinds throughout the chalet. In addition, we provided coffee tables, upholstered ottomans, dining chairs, mirrors, cushions, and accessories. The list was extensive, and each piece was presented to shep&kyles design for consideration and approval. Having worked with the company several times in the past, we have developed an excellent understanding of their concepts and exceptional attention to detail for every piece that goes into their interiors.
Having agreed on the final selections, John Dick & Son then placed the orders, commissioned the manufacture of bespoke items and coordinated delivery. We delivered everything to London, where the owners organised a consolidated shipment to Les Gets. Our team then travelled to meet the shipment in France and spent five days on the installation in the chalet.
Once again, we are proud to have been involved in this significant project and thankful that shep&kyles design allowed us to help transform their wonderful concepts into stunning interiors.
John Dick & Son Managing Director Bruce Dick commented on the project, saying: “We were delighted to receive another commission from shep&kyles design; their vision and creativity always lead to something unique and special. And Chalet Hôtel Blythe certainly didn’t disappoint; the results are spectacular.
“Nothing is left to chance in any part of the property; the primary focus is always on the guest experience and ensuring every visitor is impressed with every inch of the property. They never fail to create memorable interiors that guests can’t fail to appreciate and enjoy.”
Also commenting on the project was Kyles Garrett, from shep&kyles design, who said: “It was an absolute pleasure to collaborate with John Dick & Son on our latest project. Having worked together on previous chalet interiors, they knew our design style and were able to seamlessly translate our ideas into beautiful products – many custom-designed and fabricated for the hôtel. Their attention to detail is exceptional, and we look forward to working with them on our next alpine project.”
We have included a selection of photographs taken throughout Chalet Hôtel Blythe; we hope you enjoy browsing through them as much as we enjoyed participating in this magnificent project.
