What a difference the better weather makes to our lives; this week, the temperature has risen, the sun has been out, and suddenly it’s Spring.  We don’t hear the term ‘Spring Cleaning’ so often these days, but traditionally, it was a time for change and clearing out the clutter.  We certainly think the better weather changes outlooks and focuses minds on brighter times ahead.

At John Dick & Son, that’s undoubtedly the case.  Now is when we start to see the new stock arriving in the showroom.  We spend the initial part of the year on buying trips to exhibitions and manufacturers.  Indeed, we buy so much that sometimes we forget some of our chosen things for the showroom.  So, unpacking the deliveries is exciting and often leads to pleasant surprises.  It’s one of our favourite times of the year when we witness the transformation of the showroom and display this year’s pieces.
