We are delighted to have been back aboard the magnificent Hebridean Princess again this year. It is the 4th year in a row our team have worked on the interior of this grand ship.
It is fair to say that the Hebridean Princess deservedly attracts the most discerning of clients. The luxurious ship offers the best in cuisine, service and comfort. Perhaps one of the reasons that the clientele return on a regular basis is that it consistently delivers a ‘home-from-home’ experience as it cruises the Highlands and Islands of Scotland. Key to that consistency is the ongoing refurbishment and redesign programme that we have been involved in.
John Dick & Son has redesigned the interior of almost all of the ship over the past few years. This year we focused below decks with the complete refurbishment of 6 of the luxurious cabins. As you might expect, there is a strong Hebridean influence with beautiful plaids and tweeds evident in much of the furniture, soft furnishings and materials. Each cabin is individually designed to create an extremely comfortable experience for all who have the privilege of enjoying a cruise.
However, there is no cruising for the team at John Dick & Son; the ship is out of service for a very limited time each year and project delays are out of the question. Design and planning is meticulous to ensure that the minute we have access we can make full use of the time aboard the ship. This year’s task of 6 individual bedrooms was a tall order, but as usual our team rose to the challenge and we were delighted to see the project completed on time with everything ship shape and ready for the new cruising season.
Below is a short video and some pictures of the recently completed cabins. We’ve also added a couple of previously worked on areas to give you a proper feel for the true luxury of the Hebridean Princess.
