Recently, we travelled to Morzine in the French Alps to survey a luxurious ski chalet. We’ve been working on the interior design of this property for some time, but last week we were finally able to see this magnificent new build property for the first time. The journey didn’t disappoint; the quality of the workmanship, attention to detail, and sheer scale of this chalet is breathtaking.

We have been working in close collaboration with the property owner and the Interior Architect, Kyles Garret, Shep & Kyles, to deliver their vision of what will be exceptional. However, this is more than a ‘design’ project; we are providing furniture, curtains and soft furnishings throughout. We will consolidate all the items and ship them in a dedicated vehicle directly to the property where we will meet it to oversee the unloading and installation. It is an exciting but demanding project which requires a great deal of planning to make sure our clients can receive their guests in this magnificent setting this Christmas.

Of course, this type of remote work is not new to us; we have completed several large scale projects in the past in places such as New York, Bangalore, and Barcelona. As you might imagine, owners of such beautiful properties don’t have lots of time to spend with us, so we work hard to understand the project as much as possible so that we can interpret their requirements with minimum disruption to them. And when we do meet with them the time spent is fruitful and productive.

Whenever we can, we’ll go even further to help our clients; in the past, we’ve been happy to consolidate the shipping to include such things as a valuable fine art collection to be shipped to a client’s overseas home. We are confident doing this because we only ever use trusted suppliers; so, everything being transported is appropriately insured, well packed and expertly handled every step of the way. On arrival, we are happy to meet the shipment and fit out the property so that the client finds it precisely as it has been designed to look.

Naturally, not all projects are as far afield as the USA, India or France, but the same attention to detail is applied to all design work.
