Meet John McNulty; he’s the latest recruit at John Dick & Son and one who performs a critical role in the business. John is our new Furniture Porter.
Customer deliveries have always been high on our list of priorities. Ensuring you receive your orders at a specific time suitable to you is a crucial part of our commitment to customer service. For many years, we have appreciated that simply giving you a delivery date is not good enough, so we offer you an appointment time when your delivery will arrive, meaning you are not waiting at home unnecessarily for your order to arrive.
Furthermore, we don’t just deliver it to your front door; when we deliver your new furniture, we will assemble it and position it where you want it. And over the years, we’ve had some challenging deliveries, but nothing has beaten us yet.
It’s all part of the service and attention to detail you can expect here at John Dick & Son. As an independent 3rd-generation family-owned business, we truly appreciate the value in the personal touch; it’s something our customers comment on frequently.
We’re delighted to have John on board. He has over ten years of experience in furniture and assembly. But, he doesn’t only deliver and assemble customer orders; John is also responsible for building showroom furniture, so he’s being kept very busy at the moment as the 2022 display pieces begin to arrive.
John’s duties don’t end when he’s assembled your furniture; he will remove all packaging materials and responsibly dispose of them. All cardboard and plastic wrapping is sent for recycling, and other non-recyclable products are sent to recognised waste management operators for proper disposal. So, you don’t need to spend time unwrapping, assembling and disposing of the packaging; we will do that for you.
John is delighted to now be working with a furniture retailer that places such a high importance on his role, and we are delighted to have him on board as another dedicated team member. When he does get time off, John is keen on mountaineering, five-a-side football and music, particularly OMD, James and the Rolling Stones.
