Our latest case study highlights the work we have recently completed for a new home on the banks of Loch Lomond.
Originally from the Loch Lomond area, the client now lives in Toronto. Their dream was to retire to Scotland, and in particular to the Loch Lomond area where they still have family connections.

Being an extremely busy couple, they didn’t want to spend their valued free time in Scotland touring furniture shops and meeting with designers, they wanted to be able to relax and enjoy their magnificent property and all that the area has to offer – something we were happy to accommodate.
Working remotely with clients is something we at John Dick & Son are quite used to; we have completed interior design and furniture provision projects for clients in New York, Mumbai, Barcelona, Ireland and England in the recent past. We have developed an efficient back-end system for the transfer of designs, specifications, and quotations that makes the whole process surprisingly easy. However, it’s not the technology that enables us to successfully deliver projects like this, it’s the ability to understand the client’s likes and dislikes and quickly establish exactly the look they want.
We believe the end result is stunning, entirely in keeping with the architecture, and whilst the furniture is traditional in design and craftsmanship, it is modern in its functionality.
We not only provided the designs and furniture specifications, we also delivered and installed all of the furniture so that the client could arrive and enjoy the finished designs immediately on arrival, something we know they appreciated.
Here is what they had to say about the service we provided:
“Thank you so much to Sally and Lyndsey for all of your help furnishing our new home. From our first meeting at the John Dick and Son showroom, we felt like we were in expert hands. Sally and Lyndsey patiently guided us through all of the furniture and fabric choices, never rushing us and always listening and taking note of our likes and dislikes. From the smallest cushions and lamps to the large sofa and wardrobes, nothing was left to chance. Sally and Lyndsey measured and drew up a detailed plan for each room. Everything was delivered and placed with care. We now have some very unique pieces of furniture that suit our home perfectly.”
You can see a selection of images from the client’s home and some links to similar furniture on our website, please take a minute to have a look at the extensive choice, all of which can be seen in our showroom.

We are finding more and more people are using our knowledge and expertise in this manner, we have a proven track record when it comes to understanding the demands of the busy clients we work with. Our process is designed to make it as simple as possible without demanding lots of the client’s time, this is where the real value of experience is evident. If you have an interior design project that you simply don’t have enough time to commit to, why not give us a call, we’d be happy to talk you through the process and hopefully help you achieve the home of your dreams. If you would like to arrange an appointment with our design team, please call us on 0141 644 1115, or email us at info@johndickandson.co.uk and we can arrange a suitable time to chat.
